Dirk’s surgery went very well! We got to the hospital at 6:30 am and his surgery ended up being at 8:00 am. Short 20 minutes later the doctor came back to tell us that everything went well, the tubes are in and he sucked a lot of mucus out and this will improve his hearing too. We got home at about 9:30 and just in time for naptime. When he wake up has was a happy boy again, because the anesthesia wore off and he was not feeling yucky anymore. The rest of the day we just had to keep a close eye on him.
We are already seeing improvement with him having the tubes in. Usually when Charlotte talks loud and makes funny nosies at him, he would smile and laugh, but now with him being able to hear better, he does not like it and starts crying. So I guess for the next few days we’ll have to watch our volumes.
